Biography

​Shaun van der Walt received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas. Before attending law school, Shaun worked as a patent agent, where he focused on patent prosecution.
 
Shaun earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School. While in law school, he served as Senior Articles Editor for the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. After graduating, Shaun worked as a data privacy consultant.
 
Shaun joined Beck, Payne, Frank & Piper, P.C. in 2026. His practice focuses on insurance subrogation and civil litigation.
